So you may have noticed that my website has had a bit of an overhaul with some changes made to my commission page.
Here's the dealio...

This last month has been a really hard one for me emotionally and mentally. Some of you may know that a few of months ago I could feel myself burning out and wanted to slow down on the commissions, but I'm a sucker for punishment apparently and continued taking on too much work, and then it finally happened. Earlier in the month I hit an art block. And then it morphed into full on burn out... and then the black dog managed to sneak into my brain again and I've been in a really bad depressive state the last couple of weeks. It's not been good.
I'm continuing to get through this months commissions but it's been super tough and I'm way behind schedule, but I WILL get them all done before the month is out. I've not missed a monthly deadline yet, I won't let this month be the first.
However, this has opened my eyes to the unfortunate truth. I can't keep this up.
When my anxiety and depression kicks in I become super sensitive and find dealing with people super hard, and I've not really been enjoying my art for some time. I've lost direction and need to be able to explore my own stuff again.
So... here's what's happening. I'm going to be asking around town to find part time/relief work again, so that I can take some pressure off my need to be constantly pushing out commissions.

I am no longer taking NSFW commissions. Tasteful nudity is fine, but I'm no longer going to be accepting smut/porn/x-rated commissions. It burns me out too much.
My monthly slot system is no longer in effect. I will open slots as and when I am ready to take another small batch. When slots open will depend on how large a current commission is, how my emotional and metal state is, how busy I am in RL, etc.
Please don't worry, I'm not stopping commissions. I will still take them, I'm just going to become SUPER picky about what I now work on. I want my body of work to represent me as an artist and I want to be able to push myself in a direction I want to be heading with my commissions, which isn't happening currently. I feel like my commissions are dictating my art direction, and that's not the way it should be. I want my art direction to be leading my commissions.
Also, don't worry about me. I am well accustomed to my anxiety and depressions, and this will pass soon enough. I'm just at the point now where I can see what's making it worse and need to make changes to help alleviate it. I hope you all understand. I just need to be doing art that makes me happy now.
