This is a public announcement that my prices will be increasing, effective as of September 2018.
As with every price increase I've had in the past, this is not something I choose to do lightly. For the last couple of months I have been timing each commission I do and have noticed that I am often running overtime and there is definite imbalance with certain stages of my art vs the time it takes. So I had two choices, either speed up my process and rush the commissions, or adjust my prices to fit accordingly.
For me there was a clear answer, I'm not about to start rushing my art and putting out unsatisfactory commissions to you good paying folks! I hope you agree with my decision.
So what I've done is brake down each stage of my art, (sketching, lining, colouring, shading) and have worked out how long each stage takes me on average, using the timings that I've been collecting over the last few months. I've then been able to work out a more balanced pricing system.
I hope you all understand. This is my sole profession, my livelihood, and I have been having to work crazy long hours and causing myself great stress to take on enough work to gather enough income each month. While I am lucky to have a partner that pays most of our bills, it is not fair on him and I need to start bringing more to the table, and living in New Zealand is becoming rapidly more expensive. T_T (hence why we're going to be moving into a truck in the near future!)
Below you will find the updated prices which will come into effect for September 2018 onwards.
